Actor-director Guruprasad's suicide is a shock to the film industry Famous Kannada director and actor Guruprasad (52) committed suicide. Guruprasad's dead body was found hanging from his fan in his apartment in Madanayakahalli. It was suspected that he had succumbed to death three days ago when his body was found in a decomposed stage and locals informed the police after smelling it. Born in Kanakapur in 1972, Guruprasad started his journey as a director in 2006 with the film 'Mata'. After 'Mata', Jaggesh's 100th film, in 2009 he directed the social film 'Eddelu Manjunatha', which won the Filmfare Award. He has also directed the films 'Director Special' and 'Eradane Sala' and as an actor has appeared in the films 'Mata', 'Eddelu Manjunath', 'Mylari', 'Hudugaru' and 'Ananthu v/s Nusrat'. Guruprasad was noted as a judge in several reality shows, including the Bigg Boss Kannada show hosted by Kichcha Sudeep. The shocking news came before his birthday on November 2, leaving the film industry suddened.
